Emilie and Youssef opened Doudou Miel in 2017, almost by chance, but with a passion for cooking and good ingredients. There is no fixed menu, but every day a new way to make salads, bagels and other preparations filled with vegetables. There are suggestions, but also the possibility to compose your meal to measure. Almost all the ingredients come from organic shops. Doudou Miel is also part of the Too Good To Go network. Its goal is to offer, via an app, unsold food from supermarkets, restaurants and bakeries at a reduced price to avoid food waste.

Doudou Miel fait partie du réseau Too Good To Go.

Doudou Miel maakt deel uit van het Too Good To Go netwerk. Hun doel is om via een app onverkocht voedsel van supermarkten, restaurants en bakkerijen tegen een kleinere prijs aan te bieden om voedselverspilling te voorkomen.

We were honoured to veganize the latest event of our festival DJ's, brothers Nicolas and Jerome Ronsmans. They threw a great party at La Vallée with sounds by Fata Morgana Family, BeatuniQue and BAUM to launch the newest addition to their family: Mate Beer.

A beer that combines the knowledge of traditional plants with the ancestral brewing skills of hermits. This unique beer with antioxidant minerals contains 3.5g Yerba Maté per liter, and two delicious slices of bread. A great refreshment for the summer!

Our chefs Linda and André (Voodoo Vegan) combined this fresh brew with seitan to prepare some mighty vegan ribs, which were presented on a bun with grilled veg, fried onions, Wilmersburger vegan cheese and the tasty sauces of Callowfit! A young and upcoming brand that presents a healthy and vegan alternative to traditional sauces. Some of them a tad sweet for us, but still a great addition to any vegan BBQ.

Our Vegan Street Festival was a huge success with almost 10k people enjoying great music and vegan food. The weather was amazing, which is rare in Brussels as you know, preparing us for an awesome summer to come...

Now let's find out: how vegan-friendly are the Belgian Festivals?

Paradise City

June 29, 30 & July 1 - Perk

Paradise City is a meat-free festival! They follow an amazing green charter to reduce the overall impact of their festival (including using green energy and reducing waste) and sustainable, local and tasty vegan and vegetarian food is a part of that strategy!

We were lucky to have one of their organisers and DJs Gilles De Decker at our MATE Family-stage during VSF and we can tell you: these guys now how to throw a party!

Couleur Café

June 29, 30 & July 1 - Heizel, Brussels

Couleur Café (relocated at the Atomium) has taken a veggie-friendly stance for years within their worldwide arrange of cuisines and many exotic dishes. We cannot imagine going a year without those plantain fritters! So, shake what ya mamma gave ya, and see you at the Rue du Bien Mangé.

Rock Werchter

July 5, 6, 7 & 8 - Werchter

Greenway will be present at Rock Werchter to serve you their delicious wraps, kebabs, burgers and curry's. They absolutely deserve an honorary mention in this list as they will also be at Couleur Café Cactusfestival Rock Werchter Dour Festival Tomorrowland Dranouter Festival and Pukkelpop 2018! Last year, they served 65.k festival go-ers over the summer. Impressive!

Ieper Hardcore

August 10, 11 & 12 - Ieper

Not a lot of people may know this but this festival has been going strong serving 100% absolutely only vegan food since 1992! The heavy line-up might not be for everyone but it sure is worth paying them a visit to discover the food.

Vegan Summer Fest

August 19th - Flanders Expo, Ghent

Our comrades from Ghent, BeVegan, are growing bigger and better each year! They were truly an inspiration for our Brussels' Festival and we are sure it is going to be legen- wait for it- no dairy of course: vegan!
