Horia: Your Vegan Lunch Spot in Brussels

Dernière mise à jour : 18 juil. 2023

Stepping into Horia is like embarking on an eastern culinary journey, right in the heart of Brussels. Known for its delightful assortment of dishes, Horia offers a unique experience of organic cuisine, freely inspired by Moroccan and Lebanese culinary specialties.

At Vegan Brussels, we are always on the lookout for eateries that go above and beyond to accommodate the vegan lifestyle. So, when we heard about Horia, we simply had to try it out!

On our visit, we found that almost all plates are plant-based, with meat as an optional add-on. We sampled three different plates: the Vegan Mezze, the Chermoula Eggplant, and the Horia Board.

The Vegan Mezze was our starter, a grand spread served with freshly baked bread. Moving on, we delved into the Chermoula Eggplant with rice. The eggplant was so soft, perfectly roasted to a melt-in-your-mouth consistency.

Last but definitely not least, we tasted the Horia Board. With homemade, creamy hummus, labneh, and the vegetable mix of the day, this dish truly showcased Horia's mastery of Mediterranean flavors.

Every plate at Horia is homemade, generous, and well-balanced, ensuring a source of protein in each dish. If you are in the mood for a delightful lunch, look no further than their colorful terrace. If you are on the move, they also offer takeaway options.

There's also an off-the-menu vegan dessert option that sadly we forgot to try. But don't be afraid to ask for it. With some nice mint tea, of course.

Conveniently located at 7 Borgval à 1000 Bruxelles (Piétonnier), Horia is open from Tuesday to Sunday.
