This Netflix blockbuster made a lot of impact & explores the impacts of animal agriculture on the environment, examining such environmental concerns as climate change, water use, deforestation, and ocean dead zones, and investigates the policies of several environmental organizations on the issue. A must-see for every self-proclaimed environmentalist or anyone who cares about the earth.
Dominion
Dominion uses drones, hidden and handheld cameras to expose the dark underbelly of modern animal agriculture, questioning the morality and validity of humankind’s dominion over the animal kingdom. While mainly focusing on animals used for food, it also explores other ways animals are exploited and abused by humans, including clothing, entertainment and research.
Forks over Knives
This feature film examines the profound claim that most, if not all, of the degenerative diseases that afflict us can be controlled. It argues that avoiding animal products and ultra-processed foods, and instead eating a whole-food, plant-based diet is the key to long-lasting health.
Christspiracy
Christspiracy: The Spirituality Secret is a 2024 documentary by Kip Andersen and Kameron Waters that questions the role of animal agriculture in Christianity, exploring if Jesus condoned meat-eating and uncovering what the filmmakers suggest is a 2,000-year cover-up regarding animal ethics, faith, and creation, challenging religious texts and traditions to reveal a potential spiritual path to veganism.
